Gloucester Area Astronomy Club, March 2010

The Gloucester Area Astronomy Club meets at 8:00pm on the second Friday of the month, at St Paul Lutheran Church in Lanesville, on Cape Ann. (Click here for a map)

This month's program will feature Nanette Benoit, with an update to the WISE (Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer) mission; we may get to see some of the unused telescope parts for "show and tell"!  Also, we'll take a tour of the electromagnetic spectrum, showing how different instruments, including our own eyes, see the universe.  If time allows we will also talk about the SDO -- Solar Dynamic Observatory -- that just launched last month, and hopefully see some first images from that mission.
